WHAT’S NEW
Monkey Mind at the 2025 Colorado Leadership Summit

Monkey Mind was proud to partner with HUB International as a Speaking Sponsor for the 2025 Colorado Leadership Summit, hosted at Empower Field at Mile High — home of the Denver Broncos.

The event brought together leaders, coaches, and professionals from across industries to explore high performance, culture, and mindset in leadership.

The day kicked off with a powerful presentatioon from Dr. Kirsten Cooper, PsyD, CMPC, performance psychologist, former U.S. Alpine Ski Team athlete, and founder of Elevate Performance Partners. Dr. Cooper works with Olympians, executives, and high-stakes professionals to perform at the highest level without losing themselves in the process. Her talk focused on how clarity, regulation, and purpose drive sustainable excellence in leadership and sport.

To close the day, Monkey Mind curated and coordinated an expert panel featuring:

  • Dr. Adam O’Neil, PhD – Licensed Clinical & Performance Psychologist, Founder of Atlas Psychology, and Clinical Facilitator at The Clearing in Boulder. With over 16 years of experience, Dr. O’Neil integrates traditional clinical and sport psychology with innovative natural medicine practices, including licensed psilocybin-assisted therapy. His clients range from Olympians and NHL athletes to Fortune 500 professionals. By bridging evidence-based science with holistic healing, he helps individuals unlock deeper self-awareness, resilience, and optimal performance.

  • Dr. Sue Schimmel, PhD – Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience supporting professional and collegiate athletes. She serves as a registered provider for the NHL, MLS, NFL, and PGA, and co-founded The CAP Project, which strengthens the coach–athlete–parent relationship. Dr. Schimmel is also co-author of Playing the Long Game: A Handbook for Parenting Elite and College Athletes and has more than 30 years of clinical experience in treating addictions.

  • Maureen Breeze – Principal at Cultivage Coaching & Training, certified executive coach, and leadership development expert. She has worked with leaders from NASA, Arrow Electronics, KraftHeinz, and the University of Colorado School of Medicine. As co-founder of The CAP Project and co-author of Playing the Long Game, she helps leaders and organizations elevate communication, emotional intelligence, and team performance through science-backed strategies and coaching.

Together, they explored the mental frameworks and behavioral traits that define elite performers — from adaptability and self-awareness to emotional regulation and trust within teams.

A huge thank you to HUB International, our panelists, and everyone who made the summit a success. Monkey Mind continues to bridge the worlds of sport psychology, leadership, and performance — helping people and organizations reach new levels of excellence.
